Finding, Restoring, and Supporting George Washington’s Headquarters Tent: Join us for a panel celebrating the collaboration of a diverse group of professionals across disciplines who worked together to conserve and display a unique piece of American history; George Washington’s original tent from the American Revolution. the Museum Director, Conservator, and Structural Engineer will discuss the tent’s history, its conservation, and the structure designed to support this priceless artifact which will be featured at the forthcoming Museum of the American Revolution. Learn more about George Washington’s field home during the war and the many challenges of conserving and displaying the first “oval office” 240 years later. Please note that you are helping to conserve history with your attendance. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to the continued conservation of George Washington’s Headquarters Tent.
